If you’ve somehow landed here then you are looking for better ways to save money, or how to save money in general. I can help you with that!
Some of these may be common sense ideas, but hopefully you’ll learn a thing or two. This Savings Series will be the most personal part of my blog. In the travel posts I tend to be light hearted, cause let’s face it… who doesn’t love some good ol travel stories? In the savings portion I will take on a more serious tone. I will tell you how I have lived my life, and what has made me into being the savings ninja that I am today. You’re probably thinking, “I don’t know this lady from Adam…who the heck is she to tell me about my finances??” Well, these posts will touch on that, and much more. I have had many hard times and have made several mistakes and maybe some of you have had similar experiences. I hope you can learn from both my mistakes and my knowledge.
When I started this adventure, I asked friends what they would like for me to write about. My thrifty travel adventures popped up in conversation, but more so was my Ninja Savings habit! I’m going to lay out every idea and action that I have personally ever had success with.First things first, saving money is a mindset. This change will not be easy and it will take some time! You may not see results right away, but you have to give yourself some leeway. Change is never easy, but if you can implement even only some of these steps, you will be able to have more enrichment in your life. It’s like that old adage “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.” If You Want Different Results, You Have to Try Different Approaches. How do you expect to change if you don’t take the steps to do so? I know that Money isn’t everything, but it sure helps!
If you often feel like this after paying your bills, you’re in the right place. I already know I may have lost some of you with that last paragraph. Some of you are thinking, “I don’t make enough money to save any.” I understand when the pennies are tight. But, hear me out! Having savings is possible! I have lived off minimum wage and still managed to put a little bit aside, until I could build myself back up. This series will have actionable steps that you can take to change the course of your life! I’m going to be honest, you aren’t going to like some of these posts and what I suggest. I won’t walk on egg shells with my approaches. But, please know I have only your best interest at heart.
If I can turn even one person’s savings goals into a reality, then this series is more than worth it.
